As this initiative has grown, we've decided the time is right to establish The Jesus Experience as its own independent entity.
The Jesus Experience has launched its own website and has a new logo. Let us all thank Lisa Crawford for building this website and creating the cool logo. Check the new website out at: The Jesus Experience.
The Jesus Experience Inc. is now its own separate 501(c)3 not-for-profit. We will still be supporting this through Worldwide Ministry of Jesus and the CFU, of course.
The Jesus Experience is creating a multi-faith steering committee where leaders of many faiths will help us bring the life and teachings of the historical Jesus to people in a way that will be acceptable and inspiring to them. We also have been in communication with leaders in Israel about an alternative venue that already has some government funding available for renovations. We are still focused on Yigal Allon but we are always open to new options and opportunities.
For the past few years, The Center For Unity has been developing, imagining and incubating ideas about an immersive multi-media experience. It started as the Jesus Museum, then became the Jesus Experience as we envisioned it being an immersive, multi-dimensional project that would be unlike any other. This powerful project allows participants to step back in time on the very shores where Jesus of Nazareth delivered his teachings over 2,000 years ago.
What began as an effort inspired by The Urantia Book has evolved into a broader secular/interfaith initiative to bring the historical Jesus and his message to life through scholarly research, archaeological insights, and innovative technology. We know that the truth in the message of Jesus will draw all people to him, and the Kingdom of Heaven and the brotherhood and sisterhood of all humankind is our goal.
As this initiative has grown, we've decided the time is right to establish The Jesus Experience as its own independent entity and we have registered it as a nonprofit with a dedicated website and dedicated advisory board. This will allow the project to reach its full potential while remaining in alignment with the Center's mission.
If you would like to stay connected and receive occasional updates on The Jesus Experience, including when the new website launches, please sign up here: The Jesus Experience Galilee.
We are excited for this next phase and the opportunity to share this transformative experience depicting the life, teachings, and enduring wisdom of Jesus – history's most influential figure – with people across the globe. While the Center For Unity will no longer directly oversee The Jesus Experience, Gabriel, Rick, Steven, and Lisa are involved and still connected to supporting this important work. We hope you will join us in embracing its evolution into a boundary-crossing endeavor.
The Jesus Experience in Israel has suffered a setback due to the ongoing war. Yigal Allon museum seems to have become hesitant about hosting a project dedicated to the life and teachings of Jesus. They have lost tourist revenue which has hurt them badly. We are looking at alternative venues but my personal opinion is that nothing significant will happen with this at least until the war is over, unless we can get an audience with a potential major donor: individual, corporate, or government.
However, the Israeli government is gearing up for the 2000th anniversary celebration of the resurrection of Christ and they expect a huge amount of tourist pilgrims for this. Sources tell us that once the war is resolved, there may be some private and government funds available for The Jesus Experience. Our team in Israel is meeting with the Regional Council on July 21st.
If you wish to support The Jesus Experience please designate your donation to CFU for that purpose. CONTRIBUTE HERE.
