“The pouring out of the Spirit of Truth provides the spiritual foundation for the realization of great achievements in the interests of the human race of the bestowal world.” 72:12.5 (820.3)
Human progress is often measured by what we can build, invent, discover, or accomplish. But behind many of humanity's greatest achievements is something less visible: a deeper vision of what is possible and a desire to use our abilities for the good of others.
When spiritual insight becomes real within us, it can change the way we approach our work, our relationships, and our contribution to the world. We begin to see our talents not simply as possessions, but as opportunities. Knowledge becomes something to share. Leadership becomes something to use responsibly. Creativity becomes a way to serve. Even ordinary work can take on greater meaning when it is connected to something larger than personal success.
Spirituality is not meant to pull us away from human progress—it can give that progress a deeper direction. The question is not simply how much we can accomplish, but what our accomplishments are ultimately serving. A spiritually grounded life asks us to bring our highest values into the world through what we create, how we lead, how we treat people, and what we leave behind.
A reflection for this week: Take one ability, opportunity, or area of influence you currently have and ask yourself: “How could I use this more intentionally for the benefit of others?” Then take one small action. Great achievements often begin with a quiet decision to make our gifts useful.
