We have found that our most effective method of fundraising is face-to-face meetings.
The big news on the Jesus Museum project is the addition of a new member of our Diskin company design team. Diskin hired Daniel Cohen to manage our project from their side. Daniel comes to us with a lot of experience in films and creating tourist attractions, venues, and the movie, The Jesus Diaries. He is not a student of The Urantia Book (yet) but says he has a special place in his heart for Jesus and wants to see our Jesus Museum become a reality.
Daniel gave us a proposal for the museum content and physical equipment. It truly is something special and unique – just what we have been hoping for. The CEO of Diskin told us that for him, this is the project of a lifetime. So, we now have the people, venue, design, and content all in place. The only thing missing is the funding to make it all happen.
I got this idea from working on our peer-to-peer project to suggest a "Kevin Bacon" approach. You may be familiar with the "Six degrees of separation from Kevin Bacon" – meaning that you know someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows Kevin Bacon, the movie star. I suggest that all of us have three degrees of separation from the person who can make our Jesus Museum and our Cinematic Jesus projects a reality. We have found that our most effective method of fundraising is face-to-face meetings. Who do you know that knows someone who can contribute to funding these projects? If you can put us in touch with them, we can arrange a personal presentation at their convenience.
