Human life often becomes consumed with the pursuit of lesser things—security, recognition, possessions, and comfort. These pursuits are not inherently wrong, but when they become the center of our focus, they can quietly displace the deeper search for meaning, truth, and divine relationship. The wisdom of this teaching invites us to reverse that order: seek the greater reality first, and the lesser needs of life will naturally align themselves around it.
The spiritual life is not meant to deny the material world; rather, it places the material within a larger and more meaningful context. When the soul pursues divine truth and loving service, many anxieties lose their grip. The spiritual center of life becomes stable and enduring, and from that center flows wisdom, balance, and peace.
