Religion survives every revolution of belief because it is not built out of ideas — it gives birth to them. Creeds rise and fall, doctrines are revised, and theologies are endlessly restructured, yet religion endures. Why? Because religion is not primarily an intellectual system; it is a lived experience rooted in relationship, trust, and inner transformation.
Theology is humanity’s attempt to explain what religion awakens. It organizes, interprets, and systematizes spiritual experience, but it does not generate it. When theology forgets this order — when belief systems attempt to replace living faith — religion becomes rigid, defensive, and disconnected from personal experience. True religion always precedes explanation.
This insight frees the sincere seeker. You are not required to resolve every theological question before living a religious life. Faith grows first through experience, not certainty. Thought follows life, not the other way around. When religion is alive in the heart, theology becomes a servant of wisdom rather than a substitute for truth.
