“It is sometimes possible to have the mind illuminated, to hear the divine voice that continually speaks within you, so that you may become partially conscious of the wisdom, truth, goodness, and beauty of the potential personality constantly indwelling you.” 109:5.2 (1199.3)
There are moments when the inner world grows quiet enough for something deeper to be felt. The mind becomes illuminated—not by information, but by insight. In such moments, awareness gently shifts from external noise to an inner clarity, and one begins to sense a wisdom that does not originate in the intellect alone.
This “divine voice” does not shout. It speaks continuously, patiently, beneath the surface of thought and emotion. When we become receptive, we discover that truth, goodness, beauty, and wisdom are not distant ideals but living potentials already present within us. These qualities belong to a deeper personality slowly emerging through experience and choice.
To be partially conscious of this indwelling presence is to awaken to who we are becoming. Spiritual growth is not about acquiring something foreign, but about uncovering something intimate and eternal. As this awareness grows, life gains coherence, purpose, and a quiet assurance that we are never walking alone.
