“God cannot be found through nature alone, but man having otherwise found him, the study of nature becomes wholly consistent with a higher and more spiritual interpretation of the universe.” 101:2.11 (1107.1)
Nature alone cannot fully reveal God. Mountains, stars, oceans, and laws of physics may inspire awe, but they do not by themselves disclose divine personality or purpose. Nature can suggest order and beauty, but it remains silent on meaning, love, and moral intention. God is first found inwardly — through spiritual awakening, faith, and personal experience.
Once God is known within, everything changes. Nature is no longer interpreted as a closed mechanical system but as a meaningful expression of higher reality. The universe becomes intelligible not only through science, but through spiritual insight. The laws of nature remain intact, yet they are now seen as instruments of divine consistency rather than barriers to faith.
This harmony dissolves the false conflict between science and religion. Spiritual experience does not deny nature; it completes it. Faith does not compete with observation; it deepens interpretation. When God is known personally, the study of the universe becomes an act of reverence, curiosity, and joy — a dialogue between mind, spirit, and cosmos.
