We often think of the spiritual life as a climb—a relentless effort to become better, wiser, or more worthy of God. There is truth in that image, for growth requires intention and perseverance. Yet this profound revelation introduces another dimension that fills the journey with hope: we are not traveling toward God by our strength alone. Just as gravity quietly draws every object toward the earth, there exists a spiritual attraction drawing every willing soul toward Paradise. The Father has not merely shown us the way home; He has placed within the universe a loving force that gently calls His children toward Him.
This changes the way we understand our moments of longing. Have you ever felt an unexplainable hunger for meaning? A quiet dissatisfaction with merely material success? A deep desire for truth, beauty, goodness, or a closer relationship with God? Those moments are not accidents of psychology or fleeting emotions. We were created for fellowship with the Father, and because of that, there is something within us that is always reaching beyond the temporary toward the eternal. Even when faith feels weak, when prayer seems difficult, or when life's burdens leave us weary, the Father's influence never ceases. His love is not passive; it is active, persistent, and patient. Every sincere choice for truth strengthens our response to that divine attraction. Every act of love, every step of faith, every moment of worship aligns us more fully with the direction in which our souls are already being drawn. We do not drift toward Paradise by chance, nor do we arrive through personal achievement alone. We journey home because the God who created us has never stopped calling us—and His love is stronger than every force that would pull us away.
