Discover Jesus – Update

The Discover Jesus website continues to grow as we document Jesus' life and teachings from The Urantia Book. Our growth includes adding new articles from our volunteer writers and images from Gary Tonge to improve the desktop and mobile reader experience.
Speed Has Arrived
Much of our backend development effort over the past few months has been on website performance and enhancing the loading speed of our content and pictures. Considering the rich, image-heavy material that enhances the viewing experience, this became increasingly important. Using Jesus' birthday on August 21st as our goal, we have implemented a new tool that makes our website less complicated and loads pages much faster. While the search bar function is still a bit slow, along with one or two elements on the homepage, we think you will find navigating through the overall site much faster and smoother.
This enhancement in speed not only helps create a better reader experience. It also helps us rank higher on search indexes like Google, which will bring the website to more readers who are searching for answers to questions that our site (and The Urantia Book) helps to answer!
We're excited about this new version of the site and the additional content we are adding that continues to more fully portray the story of Jesus' life and teachings on Urantia.
Content Development Progress
Our content continues to grow. We now have 385 published essays with profile images on the Discover Jesus website (an increase of 29 essays over the past month). While we won't provide a full list here, you can check the banner on the homepage of www.discoverjesus.com, which highlights the number of essays added in the past two weeks and links to a page showcasing each.
