Born Again

“I have called upon you to be born again, to be born of the spirit. I have called you out of the darkness of authority and the lethargy of tradition into the transcendent light of the realization of the possibility of making for yourselves the greatest discovery possible for the human soul to make—the supernal experience of finding God for yourself, in yourself, and of yourself, and of doing all this as a fact in your own personal experience.” Jesus, 155:6.3 (1731.1)

To be born of the spirit is to follow the lead of our Thought Adjuster. It's letting the spirit of God take the wheel, while we sit on the passenger side. Often times we are worried about the direction we need to take, since there is no clear path. Nevertheless, when we yield control to our Thought Adjuster, we will always have a clear path to take.

Finding God is just such a path; its a personal journey that needs to be taken by ourselves, but if we understand that the very same God lives within us, we do not take it alone. Once we realize that the clearest way to a personal relationship with God is through an individual discovery, we do not tie our personal religion to any dogma or church. We can take their values and insights, but we make them our own, and individually discern God and the universe.

This path is somewhat of a paradox, but the entire universe is the same way. We must not take one idea, convert it to dogma, and die by it. We must rather take all the values, ideas, wisdom and truth found in all religions and spiritual practices, and filter what resounds with us. This way we expand our cosmic consciousness, our discernment of God, and allow for the individual and personal relationship we all have with our heavenly father. We must always bear in mind that the Spirit of Truth, along with our Thought Adjuster will always be guiding us and telling us; This is the Way.
