“It is not that Urantia needed a Creator Son to set its tangled affairs in order; it is rather that the evil and sin on Urantia afforded the Creator Son a more striking background against which to reveal the matchless love, mercy, and patience of the Paradise Father.” 76:5.7 (853.1)
Human history often appears filled with struggle, confusion, and moral failure. When we look honestly at the record of our world, it is easy to feel discouraged by the persistence of injustice, suffering, and conflict. Yet this perspective suggests that even the darker chapters of human experience can serve a deeper spiritual purpose.
The life of Jesus revealed something extraordinary: divine love is not dependent on perfect conditions. In fact, the contrast between human imperfection and divine compassion allowed the love of the Father to shine with even greater clarity. Against the backdrop of misunderstanding, betrayal, and cruelty, the patience, forgiveness, and mercy displayed by Jesus became all the more powerful and unmistakable.
This insight invites us to rethink how we interpret the brokenness we see in the world and in ourselves. Our struggles, imperfections, and even our failures do not disqualify us from divine love. Instead, they may become the very setting in which grace, compassion, and spiritual transformation can be most clearly revealed.
